Last Friday YouTube announced it receives over a billion views a day. That’s over 694000 views a minute. The popular video site said on their blog that they started the company with 3 basic principals: Having videos load and play back quickly, having videos at short clips, and be able to open new platforms. They blog goes on further to say those are still and will always be the basic principals.

Twitter advised users earlier this week not to change their user names, passwords, or e-mail address in the account section until further notice. This comes after many users changed their information and have been locked out of their accounts. Many users are complaining of error messages such as “Wrong user name/email and password combination” “Sorry, we couldn’t verify that this user requested a password reset.”
Twitter is also asking users to be patient as it resolves the issue. Those who are able to log-in can also @mention @laura with the word “taco” so she can see if the issue is being resolved.

And finally research company Hit Wise came out with a new research poll saying that Facebook Receives One-Seventh Of ALL UK Page Views. Robin Goad of HitWise said that “UK Internet visits to Facebook increased by 86.1% between September 2008 and September 2009, and have more than doubled over the last 14 months.” Also, “During September the site accounted for almost half (49.2%) of all UK internet visits to a social networking website”
