YouTube To No Longer Be Supported By IE6
By Kyle Aevermann In Social MediaIt was discovered today that in just a few weeks, on March 13, 2010, YouTube will no longer be supported by Inernet Explorer 6. Reports say that Ars Technica found the specific date buried in a YouTube Help item pertaining to browser support.
“Support stops on March 13th. Stopped support essentially means that some future features on YouTube will be rolled out that won’t work in older browsers.”
Users of IE6 will begin notice a warning on their screens warning them of the drop in support.”On March 13, we are dropping support for your browser. You’ll still be able to watch videos after that date, but new features may not work properly.”
Of course the fix is easy by just updating your internet browser to IE8, or a number of others including Google Chrome, Opera 10, Safari 4 and Firefox 3.6.
